This protocol will serve to launch joint initiatives related toresearch on hydrogen and fuel cells and their use by theeconomic sectors and society at large
Collaborate on programmes of common interest, bothresearch and equipment or infrastructures and providemutual advice on the promotion and monitoring of scientificactivity are two of the objectives of the frameworkagreement that have Signed in Toledo the Foundation forthe development of new hydrogen technologies in Aragon(FHA) and the National Center for experimentation ofhydrogen technologies and fuel cells (CNH2).
This general protocol of collaboration signed by JesúsSánchez, general director of industry, SMEs, trade andhandicraft of the Government of Aragon and Vice-Presidentof the Board of the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation, and EmilioNieto, director of the National Center of Hydrogen. The firmhas also attended the director of the Aragon HydrogenFoundation, Fernando Palacín, and the director general ofuniversities, research and innovation, Ricardo Cuevas.
This agreement constitutes a stable framework ofcooperation in the hydrogen and fuel cell technologies that, based on the extensive experience that both entities have inthis field both in Spain and in international projects, willserve to put in It is launching new initiatives focused onhydrogen and its technological, scientific and business use.
The protocol envisages the creation of joint working groupsand a joint committee composed of three representatives ofeach entity that will meet periodically and schedule activities, cooperation agreements and research contracts with entitiesPublic and private institutions to be established. In addition,it expresses the interest of the Aragon Hydrogen Foundationand the National Hydrogen Center in developing researchand development activities in specific fields such as thegeneration of hydrogen from renewable energies.
The Aragon Hydrogen Foundation is a non-profitorganization in charge of organising and deploying a widerange of actions aimed at promoting the use of hydrogen asan energy vector. Based in the Huesca Walqa TechnologyPark and a board of trustees composed of 71 members, most of them private reference companies in theirrespective sectors, their activities are oriented to achieve therecognition of Aragon as a prestigious actor With regard tothe new hydrogen technologies, to encourage theadaptation of small and medium-sized enterprises to placethem in the forefront of innovation in new hydrogentechnologies, to incorporate renewable energies into newproducts and processes As an engine for growth andmodernization, and to organise activities that promote theknowledge by the entrepreneurs and the general public ofthe hydrogen technologies and the benefits that theincorporation of the autonomous Community implies. Toeconomic activities related to their use.
On the other hand, the National Center for experimentationof hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, based in Ciudad Real,is a national Research center created in 2007 as a publicconsortium between the Ministry of Education and Science(currently the Ministry of Science, Innovation anduniversities) and the Junta de comunidades de Castilla-LaMancha, aimed at promoting scientific and technologicalresearch in all aspects related to hydrogen technologies andbatteries of Fuel, at the service of the entire scientific, technological and business community, at national andinternational levels.
