On this page you will find information about our policy of collection and treatment of Cookies in www.hidrogenoaragon.org (hereinafter, the web).

Once you have authorised the cookies in the first layer of information or in the configuration section, the company will have your consent to use the cookies that you have authorised. In any case, the only means that guarantees 100% rejection of cookies is your particular configuration in the browser you are using.

On the Hydrogen Foundation's website we use cookies to carry out certain functions that are considered essential to remember user preferences and other information such as their preferred language or the number of search results per page.

If you would like to know more about our use of cookies on this website, we invite you to read the following.

What are cookies and what are they used for?

Cookies are files or archives that are downloaded to the user's computer/Smartphone/Tablet when the user accesses certain web pages.

Cookies make it possible to store certain data about the user's device or about the user's browsing. These data may be updated and recovered by the party responsible for their installation for different purposes, such as, for example, obtaining information on the browsing habits of the user or their equipment, seeing which pages have been visited, the connection time, the city to which the IP address from which the user accesses the website is assigned, the number of new users, the frequency and recurrence of visits, the time of visit, the browser or the operator or type of terminal from which the visit is made, analysing the functioning of a page, detecting technical problems, etc. Likewise, depending on the information they contain and the way in which the terminal is used, they can be used to recognise the User.

In addition to "traditional" cookies, there are other mechanisms and technologies for storing this type of information. This website, from its own domain, or authorised third parties from their domains, may use tracking pixels or beacons, fingerprinting techniques or take advantage of the browser's local and session storage to store information that is generally related to the user's browsing and is always hashed. We recommend that you check your browser settings to limit or prevent such techniques if you wish to do so.

What types of cookies are there?

Cookies can be classified into three categories: according to the entity that manages the equipment or domain from which the cookies are sent and processes the data; according to the period of time they remain active on the terminal equipment; and according to the purpose for which the data obtained are processed.

Depending on their origin, cookies can be classified as first-party or third-party cookies; based on their duration, cookies are classified into session cookies and permanent cookies; and depending on their purpose, cookies can be classified into technical, personalisation, analysis or statistical use and advertising cookies, among others.

Why is their consent important?

In accordance with Law 34/2002, of July 11, 2002, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, the Hydrogen Foundation may install cookies in the user's terminal on condition that they have given their consent after having been provided with clear and complete information on their use. The objective of this Policy is to provide said information in a manner that is useful to the User.

However, it should be noted that not all cookies have the same legal status. Some cookies, because they are not considered intrusive, are exempt from the obligation to be informed. These are cookies that enable communication between the user's computer and the network, as well as those that strictly provide a service expressly requested by the user, such as, for example:

  • User input cookies.
  • User authentication or identification cookies (only session cookies).
  • User security cookies.
  • Media player session cookies.
  • Session cookies for load balancing.
  • User interface customisation cookies.
  • Plug-in cookies to exchange social content.

In spite of this, at the Hydrogen Foundation we consider it important that the relationship with the User is always accompanied by a high level of transparency and trust, which is why in this Cookies Policy the User can find all the cookies we use.

What cookies does this website use?

At the Hydrogen Foundation we believe that the principle of transparency must be one of the backbone elements in the relationship with our users. For this reason, we have made the third-party cookies used on this website available to you.

How can I manage cookies?

You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Browser settings may vary depending on the developer and version, so to manage cookies you should consult the corresponding settings within your browser.

Most browsers indicate how to configure your browser to not accept cookies, to notify you each time you receive a new cookie, as well as to disable cookies completely. To control how your information is used, you can configure your terminal's browser in the way you consider most convenient for you.

In any case, please note that if you disable technical and/or performance cookies, the quality of the website may decrease or it may be more difficult to identify you.

We indicate the following links, where you can find more information on the configuration of cookies in different browsers:

The Hydrogen Foundation will update the above links provided in this Cookies Policy on a regular basis. However, it is possible that, at times, these may not correspond to the latest version published by the developer of each browser.

There are also some useful resources that provide detailed information on the types of cookies, how they are used and how you can manage your cookie preferences at About Cookies or at All About Cookies.

If you wish to have greater control over the installation of cookies, you can install programmes or add-ons to your browser, known as "Do Not Track" tools, which will allow you to choose which cookies you wish to allow.

What responsibilities do we assume?

The information collected by cookies is stored in the user's browser. However, it is technically impossible to guarantee 100% compliance with the user's specific configuration regarding the acceptance of cookies. The configuration of third party cookies is beyond the control of the Hydrogen Foundation as they are programmed in web plug-ins over which we cannot technically operate.

The only way to guarantee 100% of your choice is for you, as the user, to configure your browser settings according to your preferences.

In some cases it is necessary to install cookies so that the browser does not forget your decision not to accept them.

If you have any doubts or queries about this Cookies Policy, please do not hesitate to contact us via our email address info@hidrogenoaragon.org.
