Building synergies with the Complementary Plans programme at GENERA

Building synergies with the Complementary Plans programme: success of the round table at GENERA. Aragon Hydrogen Foundation (FHa) participated in the International Energy and Environment Fair (GENERA), where it witnessed a round table entitled “Building territorial synergies for the energy transition: Complementary Energy and Green Hydrogen Plan”.

A space for dialogue and collaboration

The meeting, held in Room N108 of IFEMA’s North Convention Centre, brought together a group of renowned experts to discuss the fundamental role of collaboration between territories in the development of the Complementary Energy and Green Hydrogen Plan. Pedro Casero, head of the Technical Area at FHa had the opportunity to address the following aspects of the programme:

Three thematic blocks for a comprehensive analysis

The round table was structured in three independent blocks, each of them focused on a key aspect of the hydrogen value chain:

Generation: Green hydrogen production technologies were addressed, including the experience of the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation (FHa) in the integration of commercial equipment in different configurations and the work of the Aragon Institute of Technology (ITA) in its Zero Emissions laboratory.
Storage: Hydrogen storage solutions were discussed, with a special focus on the project to expand the FHa hydrogen refuelling station to allow supply at 700 bar.
Applications/end uses: The various applications of green hydrogen were discussed, with examples such as ITA’s fuel cell electric tractor unit and FHa’s development to extend the performance of its refuelling station.

An enriching debate on the management of the Supplementary Plan

The round table also provided an opportunity to discuss the development of the Complementary Plan programme. Representatives from the different participating Autonomous Communities presented their perspectives on the administrative, economic and financial management, as well as the most relevant technical aspects.

A step forward in building a sustainable future

The round table “Building territorial synergies for the energy transition: Complementary Energy and Green Hydrogen Plan” has been a valuable space for the exchange of ideas and experiences between the different actors involved in the energy transition. This type of initiative is essential to move towards a more sustainable and decarbonised future.
