Core Objectives of the HIDROSIN-AR Initiative
The HIDROSIN-AR project aims to analyse and promote the potential of renewable hydrogen and synthetic fuels as energy vectors for the decarbonisation of strategic sectors in Aragon, particularly industry, aviation and dual-use technologies related to defence. To this end, the following objectives have been established:
· Analyse current and future demand for synthetic fuels in strategic sectors in Aragon.
· Assess the potential applications of hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) at Teruel Airport and in its surrounding area.
· Promote knowledge transfer on hydrogen, synthetic fuels and dual-use technologies in the aerospace and industrial sectors.
· Foster business cooperation and the development of new R&D&I initiatives related to hydrogen and synthetic fuels.
· Enhance the visibility of the project and the capabilities of the participating clusters.
In addition, the project aims to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to reducing emissions from the industrial and transport sectors; strengthen Aragon’s position as a benchmark region for hydrogen and synthetic fuels; foster collaboration between companies and clusters; generate new business opportunities; and promote the internationalisation of Aragon’s industrial ecosystem. It will also contribute to the technological development activities of Working Group 6 – R&D&I of the Aragon Defence Hub.
