The President of the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation and Second Vice-President of the Government of Aragon and Minister of Economy, Employment and Industry, Mar Vaquero, has inaugurated this Wednesday the Renmad Hydrogen 2024 Congress. The event was attended by more than 350 people.
The Vice-president announced that the fifth edition of Renmad Hydrogen will also be held in Zaragoza, specifically on 12 and 13 February 2025.
Among the challenges for the future that Mar Vaquero referred to is the intention for the autonomous region to “increase Aragon’s presence in the hydrogen value chain”, in other words, to “go much further” than the present reality. “In the same way that today we are leaders in production, we aspire to the same place of reference also in the manufacture of capital goods, industrialisation, reindustrialisation and, in general, in all processes that create added value, quality employment and research, development and innovation”, she stressed.
To achieve these goals, the Vice-president of the Government of Aragon pointed to the expansion of the region’s participation in projects such as the Ebro Hydrogen Corridor or consolidating its presence in the Old Continent, through active involvement in the hydrogen valleys. In fact, the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation is the only European organisation that participates simultaneously in five of the projects financed by the European Commission.
