Eva Valle, nueva presidenta de la Fundación Hidrógeno Aragón, se presenta en la reunión de patronato

Eva Valle leads the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation as a leader in industrial validation

The organization is accelerating its strategy at the Walqa Technology Park to establish itself as a key testing center and boost technology transfer to private-sector clients.

The energy ecosystem in northeastern Spain is redefining its direction with an eye toward the coming decade. The Aragón Hydrogen Foundation, an organization that has been operating for more than twenty years at the Walqa Technology Park, has formalized a major transition in its governance that coincides with an explicit shift toward the industrial market and technical consolidation on the ground.

Eva Valle, the Aragón Regional Government’s Minister of Economy, Competitiveness, and Employment, has assumed the presidency of the organization following the latest meeting of its Board of Trustees, a body composed of 94 corporations and entities from the sector. The meeting served not only to review the financial statements and appoint Isabel Garcés as the center’s secretary, but also to meticulously define the institution’s new roadmap.

An Ecosystem for the Real Market

The strategic plan approved by the Board of Trustees moves away from theoretical abstraction to focus on pragmatic utility: transforming the Foundation into the leading test center and an indispensable player in technology validation on a European scale. The strategy involves a decisive increase in investments in technical infrastructure directly geared toward private clients.

The main objective is to promote direct technology transfer, revitalizing the hydrogen ecosystem and forging strong alliances with other regional clusters and research centers to safeguard local knowledge.

The first major test of this renewed institutional momentum will take place this fall. The Foundation is already finalizing the details of the second Aragon Hydrogen Week, scheduled for November 16–20, a technical forum that seeks to establish the autonomous community as a hub for investment in decarbonization and clean energy vector technologies, and during which the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation Awards will also be presented.
