The Aragon Hydrogen Foundation participates in the closing meeting of the Complementary Plan for Energy and Renewable Hydrogen

In December, the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation, together with the Aragon Institute of Technology (ITA) and the Aragon Institute for Engineering Research (I3A), participated in the closing meeting of the Complementary Plan for Energy and Renewable Hydrogen, held on 16 December 2025 in Puertollano (Ciudad Real).

The meeting took place at the National Hydrogen Centre (CNH2), a nationally recognised infrastructure where the Government of Castilla-La Mancha is co-financing new facilities aimed at the conversion of agroforestry and agro-industrial waste into green hydrogen and renewable fuels, thereby strengthening the region’s role in the development of sustainable and circular energy solutions.

The closing event was attended by the Regional Minister for Education, Culture and Sports of Castilla-La Mancha, Amador Pastor, and the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Juan Cruz. During his address, the Regional Minister highlighted that the Complementary Plan has involved a total investment of ten million euros, which has enabled the creation and consolidation of advanced scientific and technological capacities, positioning the participating regions as key players within the renewable hydrogen value chain.

The participation of the Aragon Institute of Technology (ITA), the Aragon Institute for Engineering Research (I3A) and the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation in this meeting reinforces the Government of Aragon’s commitment to the development and deployment of green hydrogen-based technologies, as well as to interregional collaboration in order to move towards a more sustainable, innovative and decarbonised energy model.
