The Foundation for the Development of New Hydrogen Technologies in Aragon has joined as a new sponsor of the Centenary of the Ordesa and MontePerdido National Park, whose acts of celebration continue throughout this 2019.
The Aragonese Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment, MartaGastón, the Argonese Minister of Rural Development and Sustainability, Joaquín Olona, and the Managing Director of the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation, Fernando Palacín, have signed this accession. The firm has also been present by the Director General of Industry, SMEs, Trade and Handicrafts, Jesús Sánchez Farraces, and Sarga Manager, Jorge Díez.
The Foundation for the Development of New Hydrogen Technologies in Aragon is a private non-profit entity created 15 years ago to coordinate the organization and deployment of a wide range of actions aimed at promoting the use of Hydrogen as an energy vector. Based in Huesca Walqa Technology Park and a board of trustees composed of 71 members, most of them private reference companies in their respective sectors, work day by day developing hydrogen products and services in relation to the energies and incorporating Aragon into international economic activities related to its use.
With a team of 25 people, the Foundation promotes projects to generate, store and transport hydrogen for use in fuel cells, transport applications or distributed energy generation, activities that promote the Research, technological development and industrial adaptation of the autonomous community of Aragon and Spain, contributing to the modernization of the productive structure and the improvement of competitiveness.In recent years, the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation has intensified its activity in initiatives that face the challenge of energy transition and contribute to the decarbonization of transport and the energy sector, challenges in which hydrogen is called to play An important role for its sustainability, versatility and transversality, in line with what the main strategies and institutions at European and global level are advocating.
