The event “Moving towards the hydrogen society: transport and distribution” organised by the Repsol Foundation Chair at Tecnun – University of Navarra analysed the most important challenges of hydrogen as the great renewable alternative for achieving European climate objectives and highlighted the most relevant advances in the field of transport and distribution.
The day began with an institutional opening by Antonio Brufau from Repsol, María Iraburu Elizalde from the University of Navarra, Mikel Irujo Amezaga from the Government of Navarra and Cristina Ibarrola from Pamplona City Council.
Followed by the high-level dialogue on the perspectives of the hydrogen society with Rafael Luque Berruezo from ARIEMA Energy and Environment, Eugenia Sillero from Gasnam-Neutral Transport and Tomas Gomez-Acebo from Tecnun – University of Navarra.
In addition, there was a round table with Jesus Manuel Gil Jimenez from Enagás, Alberto Andres Alonso from Redexis, Maribel Rodríguez Olmo from Repsol and Guillermo Figueruelo Malo from Fundación Hidrógeno Aragón.
In addition, the Chair awarded the prize for the best End of Studies Project and we had the opportunity to drive a hydrogen car from the Public University of Navarra.
