The Foundation

The initiative was promoted by the Government of Aragon in 2003 with the support of the administration, industry and the main society actors form different sectors of activity.

Twenty-eight entities, research centres and companies support the launch of this initiative, which is gaining new support year after year, which today has become a board made up of 93 members of key importance for the Aragonese economy.

With the support of the board members, the Foundation works day by day for the development of new hydrogen technologies integrated with renewable energies and the promotion of Aragon´s involvement in economic activities relating to the use of hydrogen as an energy vector

We are a private, not-for-profit entity, created to promote the use of hydrogen as an energy vector.

Our mission is to organize, manage and execute all kinds of actions related to hydrogen as an energy vector.

Our goal

To generate, store and transport hydrogen for use in fuel cells, transport applications or distributed energy generation.

And thus promote research, technological development and industrial adaptation of the community of Aragon and Spain, contributing to industrial modernization and improved competitiveness.

In recent years, the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation has intensified its activity in projects that face the challenge of energy transition and contribute to the decarbonization of transport and the energy sector, challenges in which hydrogen is called to play an important role for its versatility and transversality, in line with what the main European and global institutions are advocating.
