H2 Tours: Aragon Hydrogen Foundation explores ARPA’s cutting-edge industrial solutions

The Aragon Hydrogen Foundation (FHa) has successfully completed a new edition of its H2 Tours, an initiative designed to showcase world-class hydrogen projects to its board members and partners. The latest visit took place at the headquarters of ARPA, a leading Aragonese company with over 50 years of experience and a pioneer in the renewable hydrogen sector.

A Comprehensive Approach to Decarbonization

ARPA stands out for its 360-degree approach to the hydrogen value chain, covering everything from renewable production and compression to high-speed dispensing systems for mobility and industrial applications.

The delegation, led by Mar Paños, acting Director General for Industrial Promotion and Innovation, toured the facilities to witness firsthand the development of zero-emission furnaces, hydrogen-based backup systems, and applications for energy-intensive sectors. “This initiative strengthens collaboration within our ecosystem, highlighting the leadership of Aragonese companies in global hydrogen solutions,” noted Paños.

Innovation for Extreme and Sustainable Mobility

During the tour, Clara Arpa, CEO of the company, presented advanced solutions for sustainable mobility, including refueling stations capable of supplying up to 1,000 kg/day for light, heavy, rail, and maritime transport.

The visit also highlighted ARPA’s expertise in:

  • Resilient Energy Bases: Compact on-site generation for remote or secure contexts.

  • Medical & Logistic Applications: Oxygen production via electrolysis and sanitary logistic drones.

  • Sustainable Building: Integration of hydrogen into building systems for heating and electrification.
