Ten giants set the eectrolysis route led by AragonHydrogen Foundation
FHa coordinates the Technological Hydrogen Observatory (OTH) report on the state of the art in electrolysis technologies
The Hydrogen Foundation of Aragon (FHa) solidifies its position as a national technical benchmark, particularly in Alkaline Electrolysis (ALK), by coordinating and leading the publication of the Report on Water Electrolysis Technologies from the Technological Hydrogen Observatory (OTH).
This document, which is public and designed for dissemination, is established as an essential guide for industry and investment, detailing the state of the art, key technical aspects, and future perspectives of the four main electrolysis technologies: Alkaline (ALK), Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM), Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM), and Solid Oxide Electrolyzer Cells (SOEC).
Collaborative effort for the energy transition
FHa’s coordination was vital in bringing together the knowledge and experience of an extensive working group. Ten key entities belonging to the Observatory participated in the preparation of this report, guaranteeing a holistic and representative technical vision of the Spanish sector:
-
Accelera by Cummins
-
ARIEMA
-
CNH2 (National Hydrogen Centre)
-
CIDAUT
-
CIIAE
-
CIEMAT
-
EAG (Enagás)
-
ENAGÁS
-
MIBGAS
-
Navantia Seanergies
Essential document for the sector
The report aims to provide professionals, investors, and public bodies with a solid tool for strategic decision-making, comparing technological readiness levels (TRL), efficiency, and costs associated with each type of electrolyzer.
