El proyecto HyTechCycling celebra su segundo workshop
|
|
El proyecto de HyTechCycling ha cubierto sus primeros 18 meses y para celebrarlo, el consorcio realizó un Workshop de difusión y diseminación en Móstoles (Madrid) el 20 de marzo. El objetivo principal de este taller fue presentar las nuevas tecnologías en la fase de reciclaje de las pilas de combustible y las tecnologías del hidrógeno. Además, se presentarán los resultados de los ACV, la información obtenida de diferentes miembros del ciclo de vida del FCH y la información general sobre el proyecto.

HyTechCycling prevé la introducción de nuevas tecnologías y estrategias para la fase de reciclaje y desmantelamiento. Para ello, tiene como objetivo entregar documentación de referencia y estudios, allanando el camino para futuras acciones de demostración y avances en la legislación. Sin embargo, nos gustaría desarrollar algo más grande: ¡un nuevo modelo de negocio. Los aportes y retroalimentaciones de los asistentes al evento serán la base para el desarrollo de este modelo de negocio, buscando una adaptación a todas las necesidades y conocimientos de FCH.

HYVOLUTION 2018
|
The 2nd edition of HyVolution, the Hydrogen Energy Days, will be held in Paris on 6 and 7 April 2018. The Vincennes flower garden in Paris will host the 2nd edition of HyVolution, the unmissable event for organizations working in the hydrogen sector in Europe, in March 2018. 40 exhibitors, including the main European leaders in the sector, and 800 participants are expected to attend. The event, organized in partnership with the 'Association Française pour l’Hydrogène et les Piles à Combustibles' (AFHYPAC - the French Association for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells), will be an opportunity to take stock of the latest developments in the sector and the operational solutions on offer in France and Europe. One year on from the COP22, HyVolution will be a new high-profile event that is fully in line with the energy transition law. The event will focus on two themes mobility and energy storage.

LOCAL WORKSHOPS OF THE FCH JU REGIONS & CITIES INITIATIVE

The Regions & Cities initiative is conducting a second round of workshops across Europe. After the successful first round of workshops with many interesting discussions and learnings, the second round will be conducted in various European cities in April 2018.
|
We also want to take the opportunity to thank everybody who helped to make the first round a success, from host Cities to the participants. Thank you! We are looking forward to the second round.
|
The workshops aim at promoting knowledge exchange on best practices in FCH project development and to discuss the way forward for European cities and regions to implement FCH projects.

The 4th EU Energy Summit, organised by Business Bridge Europe and supported by the European Business Summit (EBS) will take place in Brussels at the Egmont Palace on 12th April 2018. The FCH JU will be present in the public forum on Monday 23 April in a panel discussion "FCH JU supporting European SMEs, accelerating technological breakthroughs" at 15:20- 16:00. Following the panel discussion, the FCH JU will host a reception at 16:00- 17:30 in Lounge 2.

|
In addition to the participation of the FCH JU, several of its projects will be present throughout the week.

TEN- T DAYS 2018
|
Ministers, Members of the European Parliament and key stakeholders will meet in Ljubljana (Slovenia) to discuss how to contribute to smart, sustainable and safe Mobility, relying on the trans-European transport network and investments in transport connectivity on 25- 27 April 2018.
|
|
The TEN-T Days will also host an idea accelerator and futuristic lab, to allow young European entrepreneurs and companies to showcase innovative mobility solutions. There will be a high-level Interinstitutional meeting to discuss further synergies between transport, energy and digital connectivity, and the investment support with highest EU value-added in the post-2020 framework, leading to a Ljubljana declaration by all relevant stakeholders on key principles for investment in smart, sustainable and safe mobility. Among the high-level events, there will be Ministerial sessions with Western Balkans and Turkey, and with Southern Mediterranean countries.

Innovative companies and entrepreneurs are invited to present their ideas on the "Future of Mobility" at the TEN-T Days 2018, starting with an opening event in the presence of Commissioner Bulc on Wednesday 25 April at 10:00.

Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) announces that sales began on March 7 of the "Sora*1," the first fuel cell bus (FC bus) to receive vehicle type certification in Japan.

Toyota expects to introduce over 100 fuel cell buses, mainly within the Tokyo metropolitan area, ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. As the number of FC buses in operation within the metropolitan area increases, Toyota anticipates greater awareness of the vehicle among the general public.

£8.8m Funding from U.K. Department for Transport to Deliver the Largest Expansion of Hydrogen Refuelling Infrastructure ever Undertaken in the UK

ITM Power (AIM: ITM), the energy storage and clean fuel company, is pleased to announce that a consortium including ITM Power, Shell, Toyota, Honda and Hyundai has won £8.8 million in funding from the Department for Transport “DfT” to improve access to an expanded network of hydrogen refuelling stations to support the continued roll out of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) in the UK. Out of the £8.8 million total, ITM Power will receive £4.3m from the DfT to build four new hydrogen refuelling stations and to upgrade five existing hydrogen refuelling stations to increase capacity to support a larger fleet of FCEVs. The project has further funding support from the European Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU).

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory's (NREL's) Hydrogen Sensor Laboratory was used recently in a partnership with KPA Services, LLC (KPA), at the request of Toyota Motors to validate hydrogen sensors for incorporation into their system to adapt vehicle repair facilities for fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).

El Cabildo, el Instituto Tecnológico y de Energías Renovables (ITER) y la Agencia de Energía de Tenerife participan en el proyecto europeo Seafuel, una iniciativa cofinanciada por el programa Interreg Espacio Atlántico 2014-2020 que tiene como objetivo utilizar los recursos renovables del Espacio Atlántico para impulsar la flota de transporte local y apoyar el cambio hacia una economía baja en carbono.

El proyecto Seafuel, con una inversión que ronda los 3,5 millones de euros y una duración de tres años, utilizará la experiencia y la infraestructura de los socios en energías renovables -solar, eólica y marina- para demostrar la viabilidad del hidrógeno como combustible para ser utilizado por las autoridades locales de transporte.

Chinese city will have 3,000 hydrogen cars by 2020

AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals and Gasunie New Energy have joined forces on January 10, 2018 to investigate the possible to install the largest large scale electrolysis unit in Europe to date, to convert sustainably produced electricity into 3,000 tons of green hydrogen a year – enough to fuel 300 hydrogen buses. A final decision on the project is expected in 2019.

Dutchmen drive 2.888 km in 24 hours on hydrogen fuel cells
On Sunday March 25th three Dutchmen broke the current world record electric driving. In 24 hours they drove 2.888 kilometers with a hydrogen electric car. That’s a longer distance then the old world record of 2383 kilometer from ‘The Viking & The Scientist’ and even better then the world record battery electric driving. That record is held since 2016 by Horst Lüning (Germany).
